It’s been a wild ride for us and C5, a 6 year old female we collared last January. She had three 6 month old kittens at the time, and we collared 2 of them this August as subadults. Her collar has been intermittently sending data since May, with up to 3 months without any data transmission. Finally this week we got a signal and could track her down manually with VHF to recapture her and change the faulty collar. We expect that she will have a new litter of kittens next spring or summer so we are very happy to be getting her data again!!
