Es por esto que años anteriores la pesca de tortugas iba dirigida a las tortugas verdes en el mar.

This is a significant loss because these animals are in danger of extinction. Green turtles do not frequently nest on Bocas del Toro beaches, but they use the Bocas del Toro waters for feeding, mating and development grounds. This is why in previous years turtle fishing was aimed at green turtles in the sea.
