*As part of my PhD research we are monitoring cougar kitten survival in Southern British Columbia. We track radio-collared adult females to their dens and count, weigh, sex, measure, collect DNA and ear-tag the kittens so that we can identify individuals on remote cameras that we place at the mother’s kills. Virtually no information is available on cougar den site selection and cougar survival rates in BC so we are doing our best to collect much needed data on the species for future management plans*
