While reviewing past photos for my #wpy57 submission this week I came across this intimate series again — it’s one of my absolute favorites. Im proud to share that one of these images was shortlisted in #wpy56 — and although it was not selected as a finalist, I’m still delighted to have caught the attention of one of the judges. Can you guess which image?

Petaca had been relaxing on an exposed rocky outcropping, watching the snow fall, when she decided to escape the windy chill and take shelter in a nearby shallow cave. As you can see, she invited us in too. #pumagonia
